Dari 1 is an educational book for multilingual children beginning to learn to read and write.
The book brings teaching and practice together. Children learn about sounds and letters step by step, practise combining them, and progress to reading words and sentences. The “Gaphā-ye shirin” conversation activities also develop listening and speaking skills through family participation.
The book was developed through practical teaching experience and an understanding of pupils’ learning needs. Its activities and exercises have been used in the classroom, revised and finalised in response to observations and educational feedback.
